Alpha Skincare has been a staple skincare product for over 30 years and after 30 years, the brand needed a refresh. Keeping the iconic large “A” monogram on the front of pack was crucial in maintaining brand recognition. We updated the bottle to a light cream color to feel serene and calm with minimal text. Alpha Skincare has proven results, is not tested on animals and is hypoallergenic.

Scott’s Liquid Gold recently took ownership of a fan favorite brand “Kids’N’Pets” but it was obvious the brand needed a face lift. Staying true to the original branding, we kept the logo the same and the overall color scheme of yellow so that it’s audience would still feel that same brand connection. The updated brand is more clean, friendly, and approachable with a slight nod of whimsical. Cleaning up after pets and kids is already stressful enough, so the brand should feel relaxed and helpful.

Pantheryx held a focus group to brainstorm on probiotics and prebiotics in several types of digestible formats; pills, yogurt, liquid, granola bar, gum, etc. The packaging concepts were used for the focus groups to shop various products and which format spoke to them the most.

BioZen + Skincare focuses on effective anti-age and results for problem skin. Their product is sold by acupuncturists and alternative therapists. BioZen was needing a product that had a medical look yet appealing enough to have displayed in your home. With simplicity in colors and ingredients on the front of the label, this product has nothing to hide.

Love The Wild is a sustainable, eco-friendly, frozen seafood Company from Boulder, CO. Their packaging needed to convey appetite appeal and be approachable to all consumers. Since there are so many unique fish out in the world, we thought, “why not display the simple ingredients in their silhouettes?” With so many beautiful ingredients packed into each product, it was easy to make fish filets look not only insanely appetizing, but extremely artistic as well.

Bearded Man Coffee came to 970 Design for a brand revamp and packaging that incorporated their beliefs of sustainability and giving back to nature. Bearded Man’s mission is to inspire that pursuit through a craft coffee experience while preserving its very possibility via environmental stewardship and conscientious business practices. Not only is their product the most delicious coffee hands down, but their mission is equally as earnest. With every purchase of Bearded Man Coffee, they donate 5% of each sale to the National Forest Foundation. It was indisputable that introducing the element of nature into Bearded Man’s brand was the only direction to go.

Moe’s Original BBQ came to 970 Design in the summer of 2019 with a unique request: They had a sterling brand that had expanded from a tiny operation in the mountains of Vail to more than 60 locations worldwide but realized that–after decades of growth–their brand storytelling had become a bit diluted. They wanted us to help them with a nuts-and-bolts re-evaluation of all aspects of their marketing, but not in a way that was dismissive of the brand’s long standing identity. Messy Pet needed to stand out on shelf and disrupt the existing pet cleaning products. With the bold photography of cat and dog faces looking directly at you, how could you not stop and look back? Every cat has a different personality and why not choose the product that fits your cat best. The new Messy Pet brand is fresh, colorful and playful. Messy Pet has products for dogs and cats!

DECA + BOL is a unique venue with a world-class restaurant in the front and a bowling alley in the back. Our mission with this project was to set apart these two different venues visually. With a different font and color palette for each venue, we were able to separate yet maintain each brand as a whole.

We can’t think of anything more inspiring to design around than gorgeous floral arrangements, can you? Vintage Magnolia was taken over by a couple who actually worked on-staff for several years, so they wanted a bit of a face-lift but not stray too far away from the integrity and brand loyalty of the business as a whole. 970 was able to keep the original feel of the magnolia illustration and script font but updated to a more modern and timeless look with a more simplified illustration and sans serif font. Not only did we update the primary logo but we couldn’t help ourselves by creating a fairly extensive array of submarks, secondary logos and icons.

Giving back has always been a core tenet of 970 Design, so we were thrilled at the opportunity to work with Community Builders, who came to us looking for web design, content strategy, and branding to help them better communicate their organization’s goal–helping to make affordable housing available to everyone throughout the American West.
We started with web design principles that mirrored the organization’s mindset. We used bright colors that matched its aspirational mission, and simple, direct fonts that helped deliver Community Builders’ messaging impactfully. And we understood the best way to help connect people with the resources Community Builders offers was by making them easily accessible, so we developed a website that focused on minimalistic, easily navigable layout.
